"Cartoon Classics" Pops Concerts

Hear the Dakota Valley Summer Pops Orchestra at a local park this summer playing a light program featuring "What's Up at the Symphony? (classic cartoon music) and a medley titled "The Flintsones meet the Jetsons." Other pieces include "Star Trek Through the Years," John Williams' "Midway March", selections from Frank Loesser's musical Guys and Dolls, Suppe's "Light Cavalry Overture", Tchaikovsky's "Marche Slav," and a Latin medley by Chuck Mangione titled "Children of Sanchez."

  • Sunday, July 1: Antler's Park, Lakeville, 7:00 p.m. *Note - mapquest claims this is Anther's Park
  • Wednesday, July 4: Lowell Park (between the Gazebo and the bridge), Stillwater, 7:00 p.m. (before the fireworks)
