Phillip Glass: Company Franz Liszt: Les Preludes Steven Heitzeg: On the Day You Were Born, Debra Frasier, Narrator Aaron Copland: Fanfare for the Common Man
Nationally acclaimed, Artist, Author, Illustrator and Minnesotan, Debra Frasier joins us as Narrator of her first book: On the Day You Were Born as set to music by fellow Minnesotan, Steve Heitzeg. Along with some lovely American works we will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Hungarian, Franz Liszt.

Amahl and the Night Visitors

With a Christmas sing-a-long and other favorites.
The Burnsville Performing Arts Center will be transformed in a fully staged production of the American Classic: Amahl and the Night Visitors by Gian Carlo Menotti. A family favorite for two generations, this one-performance-only is not to be missed!

Mozart: Requiem Dvorak: Violin Concerto Schubert: Alfonso and Estrella Overture
Three local high school choirs join our own Symphony Chorus for Mozart's dramatic last work. Orchestra favorite soloist, Ariana Kim, returns to Minnesota to perform Dvorak's dance filled Violin Concerto. After the concert, audience members will have the opportunity to meet Ariana Kim during a reception and participate in our annual Silent Auction.

Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 4
Orchestra member, Elise Molina moves from the first violin section to lead us in one of Bach's most compelling piano concerti and members of the woodwind section perform Baroque favorites. All in the intimacy of the Black Box Theater. **Note the two performance times.

Mahler: Symphony No. 1 Titan
The grand-finale of the orchestra's season will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the HMS Titanic and will feature Francesca Dawis and Aaron Fagerstrom the winners of our fifth annual Young Artists' Competition. Health Sciences Orchestra will also join the symphony in a performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 1.
